Ohio State men’s basketball has officially signed their first player of the 2019 recruiting class as four-star forward Alonzo Gaffney signed his letter of intent on Wednesday as part of the first day of the early signing period.
Gaffney is the first of Ohio State’s top-ten 2019 recruiting class to ink his intent to play for the Buckeyes as Ohio State is expecting four-star forward E.J. Liddell to sign his letter of intent on Thursday while five-star point guard D.J. Carton is expected to sign on Monday.
At 6′ 9″, 190 lbs, Gaffney is the 39th-ranked overall prospect and the second-highest ranked player in the state of Ohio.
