Thad Matta Honored During Ohio State/Syracuse Game

COLUMBUS, Ohio — It may have been a rough night in terms of the play on the court, but it was still a very special night for the Ohio State men’s basketball program as they honored their former head coach and the winningest head coach in the history of their program, Thad Matta.

Matta was given a video tribute to start things off at halftime, featuring former players addressing their head coach and some of the best game highlights from his tenure at Ohio State.

Matta then made an emotional speech to the Ohio State faithful in the crowd as a banner for Matta was unveiled in the rafters of the Jerome Schottenstein Center.
