COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State men’s basketball team finished out their non-conference slate on Saturday with an 82-64 victory over High Point to move to 12-1 on the season.
The Buckeyes got everything High Point had for the majority of the first half as they were both neck and neck for a majority of the half with High Point even taking the lead at one point, but Ohio State managed to take a 37-28 lead into halftime.
Ohio State pulled away early in the second half and never looked back as they easily handled High Point, 82-64.
C.J. Jackson led the way for the Buckeyes in their victory with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting.
Luther Muhammad also scored in double digits as he posted 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, 14 of those points coming in the first half.
The Wesson brothers both had solid performances as Kaleb posted 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting while Andre flirted with a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.
It was an impressive shooting performance all around for Ohio State as the Buckeyes combined to shoot 56% from the field against High Point including 44% from three-point range.
With the win, Ohio State finishes with a 10-1 record in non-conference play with resume-boosting wins at Cincinnati, at Creighton and vs. UCLA.
Ohio State will be back at Value City Arena next Saturday, January 5th as they get set to take on No. 8 Michigan State in their first ranked matchup of the season. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for noon ET and the game will be televised on FOX.
